Dr. Su is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology, and was recognized as one of "Pasadena Magazine's 2017 Top Doctors." He was born in San Jose, California, and attended Boston University where he earned both his BA and MD and received the prestigious Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award presented by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Southern California, where he served as Chief Oncology Fellow.
Dr. Su has been involved in hematology/oncology research since medical school, and has numerous book chapter and peer-reviewed journal publications. Dr. Su's philosophy on the care of patients battling cancer focuses on the patient himself or herself, placing an emphasis on patient education, and personalizing care plans to suit the patient's individual goals and priorities.
In his spare time, Dr. Su enjoys listening to music (ranging from jazz to country music), and spending time with his young sons.
